In the fourth installment of the Charismatic Universalist Church's popular How to Pray series, award-winning preacher, lecturer, and theologian, the Rev. Bishop Kristina Rake, explains intercessory prayer or intercession.

Intercession is the act of asking God for the things we and others need. Bishop Rake, with her usual warmth, intelligence, and humor, will explain what it is this type of prayer does, why we need to do it, and why God commands us in scripture to do it without stopping. Bishop Rake will also offer suggestions for ways to make this type of prayer more fun, more interesting, and more convenient.

Other topics in this episode: the saints, prayer for the dead, and the biblical roots of both.

Next week, October 13th, at 7:00pm: Episode V--Formal Prayers (the rosary, the Our Father, the Psalms, etc).
