From growing up in a somewhat dysfunctional family to dealing with many physical and mental ailments David DeShazor and his partner go on to become the first gay male couple to adopt through the San Diego County foster care system. Shortly after adopting 3 young boys, David's partner and love of his life passed away, leaving David to raise his boys alone while working long tedious hours while battling physical and mental illnesses. David's strength and courage and love for his children shine through even the most difficult times in his life.
