News Fix: Top Home Projects 2022, Rising House Values

This year’s most popular type of home project is heating-related, according to an Angi survey. Particularly, 84% of homeowners are planning home projects to combat drafty windows/doors (44%), uneven heating/cooling, and outdated HVAC systems (35% each).

While home values rose by nearly 20 percent during some months last year, experts are predicting that the increasing rate of prices is expected to slow to around half the 2021 rate. Especially Phoenix, Tampa, and Miami reported the highest year-over-year gains with Phoenix’s 33.1% year-over-year price increase in September, according to S&P Dow Jones.
