A first generation Mexican-American who was named by Newsweek as one of “20 young Latinos to watch in the new millennium”, Flores started her own record label in 1998 developing a unique style that fuses musical genres like her current use of Taiko drums, rock music and ballads. She has toured extensively both the US and Europe both on her own and with various musical elites. She starred in the and served as musical director of the film “Star Maps” , was lead guitar in Alice Bag’s seminal band, and has released numerous albums and songs, including the very personal, It Hurts to be Your Girl..
