Huck Finn is being sanitized. The “N” word, in the new edition will be scrubbed in favor of the word “slave” throughout the text and all 219 times it was used. Why are African Americans up in arms that it is being replaced? Why are they up in arms that it’s been in schools? Evidently the always famous Pennsylvania State Troopers are no longer allowed to issue citations for disorderly conduct to people who swear publicly. The ACLU brought a litany of lawsuits in which citations had been issued, attempting to argue that using profanity publicly, particularly when confronted by an officer, was protected speech. 877.572 8446.
