A Work in Progress - Episode 75

Praise the Lord and welcome to Episode 75 of A Work in Progress. First of all I want to apologize for missing yesterday's broadcast. I have rescheduled it to January 28, 2010. We will be finishing up I Kings as we begin today's broadcast with the last chapter 22:37-53. We will move on into II Kings 1:1-18. The information in the beginning of I and II Kings states that the two Books of Kings remained as a warning to the remnant of God's people, and thus provided a practical lesson in the truth that rejection of God's covenant, being a sinful and rebellious act, can only result in divine judgment. Wow, what a message for today. The new covenant/testament that was ushered in by Jesus Christ, if adhered to will keep us from divine judgment. Christ came to fulfill the law and the prophets, not do away with them and through him, ONLY through him can we be brought back into right fellowship with the Father. There is truly no other name under heaven given among men where by we must be saved. When your name is written in heaven even devils/demons are subject to the name of Jesus and his Word. You have to have a personal/intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. Please, if possible, follow along with me in your Bibles. I am reading the King James Version (KJV) Bible, which I believe to be the pure Word of God.
