A work in progress... will be my journey through the reading of selected Books of the Bible. The Book of the Bible that I will begin reading from is Proverbs. I truly believe that the Word of God will make one wise. 2 Timothy 3:15-17 (KJV) states "15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works."     Praise Jesus and welcome to Episode 36 of A Work in Progress. We will begin with the last chapter in the Gospel of Luke 24:1-53. We will then move back into the Old Testament to Ecclesiastes. One of the Wisdom books. I believe that the Book's author is Solomon, inspired by the God. He had prayed for wisdom to go in and out before God's people. It is written in Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)"13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. 14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil." From Ecclesiastes we will move to the Book of Psalm. Please, if possible, follow along with your Bible. I am reading from the King James Version (KJV).

I thank the Lord for the strength that is in his Word, for He states "the words that I speak until you, they are spirit and they are life". Please keep President Obama and his family in your prayers. The Lord requires us to pray for those in authority and there is an evil element that wants President Obama dead. But the Lord raises up kings and brings them down. Our President was elected BY the PEOPLE, right or wrong, good or bad. God is yet in control. Please, if possible, follow along with you Bible.

Luke 6:47-48 (KJV) states "47 Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: 48 He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock."
