A Work in Progress - Episode 72

Glory, Hallelujah! Welcome to Episode 72 of A Work in Progress. We are really moving through the Old Testament. The reading is flowing so smoothly that I have to watch the time because 40 minutes goes by really fast and I always like to end the show with a song! :-) Today we continue with I Kings 12:1-33. The situation within this chapter where Rehoboam ignores the advise from the elders and goes with his friends advise is what is true today. I remember not thinking that what my Mom told me was "it" until I left home and came out into the "heartless" World and those nuggets of wisdom rang true in every situation. Wisdom was found in the older generation when I was growing up. But I must say that we do not have as many today of the older generation setting a godly example. Please, if possible follow along with your Bibles. I will be reading from the King James Version (KJV) Bible, which I believe to be the pure Word of God.
