@MyRealTalkRadio interviews @VH1 Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta Star: MARGEAUX @HouseOfMargeaux

Crafting ethereal electronic Hip Hop that evokes emotional swag through and through;and the spare aesthetic of chicks who have had a broken heart, in lipstick and baggy jeans and heals and sneakers.

Toronto’s HOFM is the project of Margeaux aka Margo Simms, a Canadian Jamaican; surrounded by farmland during her teens, she sang on hip hop tracks recorded at a studio in Oshawa while she attended Ryerson Polytechnic university to study fashion design.

By the time she was 14, HOFM — whose nickname comes from Houseofmargeaux — began writing songs in earnest; though she moved to The US to pursue a career as a fashion designer, she soon realized she really wanted to be a professional musician.

In 2005 her group Test Drive had a striking set of production by Timberland, Danja Handz and The Runners along with DJ Khalid. Margeaux also worked with producer Nellee Hooper” (No Doubt, Bjork, Massive Attack)

Along with working as a bartender, “Margeaux” spent as much time in the studio as possible and ultimately self-released her solo EP Animal House. Joining other various electronic groups and bands playing guitar she changed her moniker from Margo to Margeaux she returned with a new sound and songs featuring production from various producers, including Canadian producer young Wolf Hatchlings.
