We’re talking summer movies and the potential box office, folks. It’s all in fun so please, no wagering.
If you follow movies, talking about which blockbusters will rise and fall during the summer is great sport. You want to hitch your wagon to successes, such as The Avengers, not flame out with financial black holes, like John Carter—which I loved no matter what anyone else says. DOUG STONE audio excerpt: "Batman wins. Spider-Man's good; Spider-Man's great. I'm projecting $280 million $300 million. But The Dark Knight Rises is going to be huge. The screenings went extraordinarily well; the advance ticket sales are enormous. The polling for it is almost on par with The Avengers. We expect a huge opening. Can it beat The Avengers opening? I don't think so. But it's probably going to be the second biggest opening of all time."
