Iron Man 2 starlet Anya Monzikova was the #10 ‘Deal or No Deal’ model

It’s tough enough working on one of the year’s most-anticipated blockbusters, acting in a scene from Iron Man 2 with the likes of Robert Downey, Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, and Scarlett Johansson. Then imagine director Jon Favreau taking you aside and asking for your help behind the camera. It happened to actress Anya Monzikova when she spent two weeks on the set performing in one of the film’s climactic scenes, just another step in the flowering career of this beautiful young artist born in Russia and raised in Florida.

Astute television viewers will undoubtedly recognize Anya as the model standing next to briefcase #10 on the popular game show Deal or No Deal, where her striking features and playful attitude resulted in a number of high-profile modeling gigs, including magazines like Stuff and Maxim and an appearance with her fellow “Deal” models in People magazine’s “Most Beautiful People” issue.

She’s also memorable for her role as “The Face” of the beautiful women in Jonathan Mostow’s thriller Surrogates starring Bruce Willis. But her time in modeling was only a means to an end, as Anya has been passionate about acting and filmmaking since childhood.

Born in Volgoda, Russia, Anya lived there to the age of eight, raised by a single mother who worked three jobs to keep food on the table.
