Captain screenwriter and actor Nicole Sabrina Stuart stretches Mr. Media’s creative process!

Written by Nicole Sabrina Stuart (Bride Wars, After the Fall) and Jack Sundmacher (UCLA’s James Kirkwood Literary Award nominee), Captain is the story of an eccentric teacher who concocts a cruel tale to push one of his students into accessing the deepest part of himself.

Three years ago, Steve (Jack Sundmacher) was about to graduate from law school. On the cusp of getting his degree, he won an online writing contest. Steve received a free flight, one thousand dollars and a scholarship with Carl Johnson (Bjorn Johnson)–an award winning crime-novelist. So he dropped out of school and moved to Hollywood to follow his dream.

Carl took Steve under his wing and introduced him to the underbelly of the Los Angeles literary world. Steve became so fascinated with Carl that he failed to notice all of Carl’s. One is an obsession to their toy-Chihuahua named Captain. Steve’s admiration for Carl clouds his judgment – he doesn’t question being told he has to walk Captain five times a day.

Word on the street is that Carl is known to be the Stanislavski of writing teachers. His unrelenting methods of pushing his students past what’s comfortable, thus forcing them to delve into the deeper parts of themselves, make him controversial.

CAPTAIN is an entertaining journey that leads us to a crossroad where creative ambition and common sense intersect, leaving us with the unanswered question:

How far would you go to push someone to their potential?
