Ground Water Awareness Week is sponsored by the National Ground Water Association — the nation's leading authority on the use and protection of groundwater.

According to the association, 98% of our drinking water comes from underground sources. This is why we need to protect it...I say WE, because the government isn't doing it's job, as stated in the U.S. Constitution!

In Southern California, we cannot rely on our groundwater any longer due to two very dangerous contaminants that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) doesn't even recognize as a groundwater pollutant!

Case in point: Hinkley, California.

We're back in the news again because PG&E has NOT cleaned up their mess and the local water board, headed up by a bankrupt state and the Regional Water Quality Control Board, now taking over for the EPA, can do nothing but levy fines...BIG WHOOP!

So what can WE do?

Today, I welcome Jane Griffin, President of The Groundwater Foundation, located in Nebraska and home to the largest aquifer in the world.

The foundation's mission is to educate and inspire action, and we hope to do just that on today's edition of The Green Revolution Show.
