The Mountain West actually has a little bit of clarity after this past week of games. San Diego State is in sole possesion of first place after their wins this week, and coupled with Boise State's lose to Air Force.

For NCAA tournament teams, it looks like the Mountian West is probably getting two teams, and three might be a stretch. San Diego State seems like a sure bet with Colorado State a peg ahead of Boise State, and then Wyoming just beyond them.

The Cowboys need to weather the storm without Larry Nance, Jr. who will be out until at least Feb. 25, and they need him back to finish the season strong plus a good showing in the Mountain West tournament.

We also will dive into some about the passing of Hall of Fame head coach Jerry Tarkanian.
