LaCora Stephens on Motown Maurice's Hustle & Shuffle

Raised in Jacksonville, Fl, LaCora Stephens studied drama in high school with hopes of honing her craft as a stage trained actress. She then matriculated at Florida A & M University, where she was a theatre major and performed in several plays such as Lysistrata, Joe Turner's Come and Gone, & Before It Hits Home.

Later she taught theatre and English to high school students for almost seven years writing, directing and guiding young performers! Now, as a budding actress, she has worked on several short and independent films, commercials, a children’s fitness pilot and stage plays.

She recently took a Giant Leap into the theater arena, performing at Stage 52 with academy award nominated Margaret Avery in Patricia Cuffie’s “She Won’t Let Go”.  She thanks God for blessing her with theopportunity to pursue her passion.
