When's the ideal time for your child to learn shapes like ellipse, quatrefoil, curvilinear triangle, trapezoid, rhombus, quadrilateral, pentagon, heptagon, octagon, nonagon and decagon? Did you guess before 5 years old? A child's sensitive period for refining their senses is between the ages of birth to four-and-a-half. Perfect pitch is acquired before the age of six! Children at this age are capable of learning to discern hundreds of qualities of the things around them, but often we stop short of giving them the complex information they crave. How do we know how to support our kids to reach their full potential of sensory refinement? Come join us for an eye-opening session with Maren Schmidt, Montessori luminary and family friend, as she escorts us on the sensory journey our kids take, from their point of view. Maren will show us a broad horizon of possibilities, and give us tips on how to encourage full growth in our children, when they are most capable of self-constructing their potential.
