None of us want to walk in defeat.  All of us seek to live in God's presence.  So, why don't we?

Being an overcomer means that there are going to be battles, there are going to be temptations, hurts and regrets.

So, if Jesus said, "Blessed is he that overcometh" then that means that God has made a way for us to walk in victory and be an overcomer.

For many we have been tuaght incorrectly about Grace and how it impacts and changes our lives.

I was always told that it was merely God's unmerited favor. Unmerited favor for what though? That I could sin and it would be overlooked or forgiven?

Yes, it is unmerited favor, but it is also more..It is the power of God working in and through us, to change us and to have the power over sin, because of the new covenant and what God has established with himself.

We don't have to be defeated in our Christian walk, but we can't do it within ourselves. We can't change our sin nature.

But God has given us the ability to do so and understanding our hearts and guarding them and understanding the completed work that has been done in us, understanding the Grace of Jesus and understanding the manifold Grace of God, He will change us and make us in the image of His son, Jesus Christ.
