Millers Grain House

Hi Folks!! Feel free to leave me a note when you stop by! Are you able to hear? Have you made a live show yet? Any ideas for topics? Questions? Best Blessings! Donna

Millers Grain House

As a self-proclaimed 'Frugal Health Nut' it is my hope to share tips on stretching your food and kitchen budget without sacrificing REAL foods. We will focus on making healthy changes that don't wreak havoc on the wallet, learn to make convenient foods from scratch and incorporating whole grains (and home milling) into our families’ diet.

Show Notes

Since the topic of stretching your food and kitchen budget without sacrificing REAL foods and home milling is such a wide topic, each show will have a basic theme to help me focus. SEE UPCOMING TOPICS BELOW AND MARK YOUR CALENDARS! (o: I'd also LOVE to get suggestions for more topics from you! Guest speakers will be scheduled soon! At least 10 minutes of each call is call-in/chat Q & A's....so just hop on at 7pm Eastern Time on Tuesdays and join in! EnJOY! Best Blessings! Donna Miller

Not only does a healthy diet need variety for keeping boredom eating at bay, but that variety helps provide different nutrition and trace minerals as well as stretch the budget. Without getting too scientific about what is IN all of the other grains, I hope to focus on what we can DO with them! Popcorn, rice, kamut, spelt, millet, oats all have a variety of things that we can use them in and even some of the grains have a variety in and of themselves. Don't just get stuck on wheat because it is widely available, there are a lot of other grains that can be home-milled or used in very unconventional ways.
