Mala may only be 25 years-old but she is full of wisdom. She will share with us her journey from a rough upbringing, through an unsatisfying adulthood, until the present moment where she enjoys a fulfilling life beyond her wildest dreams.

"I was inspired to write about sustainable self soothing after turning to the 'normal' techniques that we tend to turn to as we take on more responsibility and stress in our lives - alcohol, shopping, eating, smoking, watching television, serial dating etc. After using these techniques for the first 5 years of being an adult I felt unproductive, tired, anxious, desperate and out of control. I decided to go on a different journey and learn self care in a slow and step by step process and that journey is what I would like to share with others. I have had the opportunity to take 2 years off of regular life and learn about self care pretty much full time. I don't think the majority of people have had that luxury. I would like to make my findings easily accessible to anyone looking to feel better.  In my process of research I found much of the information that was most useful to me was scattered and I would like to put it all in one place."
