Our View From the Park - Conversation with State Rep. Marsha Swails

Join Minneapolis Community and Technical College Library staff in a conversation about issues important on campus, in libraries, in our communities, and whatever other things that are on our mind. This week, we are delighted to have Minnesota State Representative Marsha Swails (DFL) on our show. She represents Minnesota District 56B, in the eastern metro area. She is a strong advocate for education, serving on the K-12 Education Finance Division and the K-12 Education Policy and Oversight committees. She also works with transit and transportation issues, serving as Vice Chair of the Transportation and Transit Policy and Oversight Division. As a fiscally conservative representative, she also serves on the Transportation Finance and Policy Division and Ways and Means committees. We'll be talking about the 2009 session, what's coming up for 2010, and how all citizens can contribute to our political process and decision-making.
