POSSESSION = daimonizomai = to be under the power of a demon. COMES FROM THE GREEK WORD; daimon = a god, a goddess, an inferior deity, whether good or bad, in the NT, an evil spirit.

When the evening was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: Matt 8:16
