Lavada Thompson is a web developer/internet marketer who partners with women entrepreneurs to create websites that sell 24/7. In February 2010, after being laid off from her software development position, she started Gems Shine Consulting. Through Gems Shine, she regularly facilitates webinars and workshops on various topics to include: effective web design, search engine optimization, landing and squeeze pages, copywriting, list building and more.

Lavada hates to be the one to tell you that "pretty" websites don't generate sales. Effective websites generate sales. While it is important that your website is visually appealing, that is not what will incite your prospects to take action.
