The Black Panther Party for Self Defense is our topic tonight. The Black Panther Party was a black revolutionary socialist organization active in the United States from 1966 until 1982.  The Black Panther Party achieved national and international notoriety through its involvement in the Black Power movement and U.S. politics of the 1960s and 1970s. The Black Panther Party provided what they called "survival programs" to communities in Oakland, Ca.  such as Free Breakfast for Children, free medical clinics and first aid, drug and alcohol rehabilitation and testing for sickle cell disease.  The African American Biography Series of 2013 brings to you the biography of The Black Panther Party which was founded by Huey P. Newton and Bobby Seale.  Today is Thursday, July 11, 2013.  You are listening to Blogtalkradio.  I'm Laura Gall and the name of my show is "You Talk Too Much".  My show is a featured show on Blogtalkradio.  It airs on Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. eastern time.  My call in number is 1-714-242-5273.  The goal of The African American Biography Series of 2013 is to document Black History on Internet radio, intelligent radio.  Thank you for listening.
