Today we're continuing our discussion on why the phrase "Black Lives Matter" means so much in a society in which being Black often times means being assaulted on different levels from all aspects.

From facing the persistent realities of institutionalized racism and pressures outside of our communities, to dealing with the myriad pressures within our communites, the constant stress of navigating these minefields takes a noticable toll on most Black people in America.

Hypertension, diabetes, obesity, emotional stress, psychological vulnerability, social isolation, excessive mistrust of authority, repressed anger, dysfunctional interrelationships, negative self-image, growing hopelessness....today we'll talk about the many ways that this contstant fight to assert the value of our lives manifests itself in the very lives we're fighting for.

We have plenty of strong coffee.  Bring a big cup.
