How does one know if he or she is doing a complete, powerful recovery (CPR)?
1. Accept that addiction is a choice not a curse or punishment. 2. Understand that addiction is a form of running - running from one’s true self. It is an attempt at escape - a self-escape. 3. Realize that one’s true self is spirit living a human life. 4. Know that childhood pain/wounds are the basis for addictions (escapes)…the belief that, “I’m not good enough.” 5. Know that unless those wounds are healed, complete recovery is not possible. 6. Become willing to release emotional childhood wounds and replace them with healing. 7. Release the addiction snake and do a total bodily cleanse (detox). 8. Accept one’s true creative self, letting go of judgments about addiction and self forgiveness when necessary. 9. Understand emotions + thoughts = beliefs = experiences.
