Join us as we take a look into the book of Nahum. Nahum was a prophet of God who prophesied judgment to the people who lived in Nineveh. One hundred and fifty years earlier, God had sent the Prophet Jonah to warn the people of Nineveh to repent or else they will be destroyed. The people of Nineveh believed God and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest to the least of them. The king of Nineveh heard the Word of the Lord, and he arose from throne,  and he laid his robe from him and covered himself with sackcloth and sat in ashes. God had mercy on the people of Nineveh and speared the people of that  city. One hundred and fifty years later, a new generation of people arose and forgot all that their ancestors had taught them about God and return back to their evil ways. This time the judgement of God was imminent, and the people of Nineveh would be destroyed by the wrath of God. This teaching will give a clear understanding on the danger of truning your backs on God after he has extended mercy. It will also move us to teach our children the ways of God, and urge them to walk in them and never forget the principles of God.
