TOPIC: Prepare & Persevere.  HOST: Linda Stephens-Jones is an ICF-certified life coach.  Her portfolio includes clients in 20 states and two other countries. Her specialty is helping women to overcome fears & navigate through major life challenges i.e. divorce, loss, elder caregiving, careers, or self doubt.  Her clients begin living with more clarity, confidence & fulfillment!   GUEST BIO:  Lawrence E. Clark is the Church Administrator at the historic Alfred Street Baptist Church, Alexandria, VA.  He serves on the Board of the Beta Nu Educational Foundation, Burke, VA, and an advisor to Resources First Foundation, Varmouth, ME.  In 2010, the Obama administration tapped Clark to serve as an advisor to the EPA Administrator. Mr. Clark retired in 2009 after a distinguished 42-year career at USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service. There, Clark became a Senior Executive in 1996.  Mr. Clark holds Masters Degrees from Harvard University’s JFK School of Government & Univ of NC, & a Bachelor’s from NC A&T Univ.  Mr Clark consulted with governments officials in China, Australia, South Africa, Togo, Nigeria, the Congo and Ghana on natural resource issues.  He served as a delegate to the US/China Agricultural Science & Technology Exchange Negotiations in Beijing in 2001; and a US Delegate at the Johannesburg World Summit on Sustainable Development. His awards include a USDA Honor Award, 2002 Inductee to the George Washington Carver Public Service Hall of Fame, & a Presidential Rank Award Recipient for Meritorious Executives.  Clark credits his life’s achievements to God's unmerited grace, his family, mentors & friends who encouraged & believed in him even when he sometimes did not.  He & his wife have two adult children.
