Blackfish is a documentary Trailer for Movie: Blackfish: Click here!

  • They are an animal that possesses great spiritual power not to be messed with
  • All whales in captivity experience psychological trauma: It's not just Tilikum
  • These are animals that have highly elaborated emotional lives
  • There's no record of an Orca doing any harm in the wild!

In 1970 Divers used speedboats, bombs, & planes to heard & corral Orcas to abduct their young.  The adults refused to leave while their young were being taken and 3 died in the nets, which they cut open, filled with stones, & anchored their tails to sink them.  In 1976 Washington State evicted them forever from our waters.  They abducted Tilikum from Iceland when he was only 2 years old.  In 1991 he pulled a trainer to her death.  It was buried in the news merely as a drowning and the park closed selling Tilikum to SeaWorld for breeding.  More deaths have been attributed to Tilikum, who is now ketp locked up in a pen most of his day.  Do you think it would be okay to be ripped from your family as a child and imprisoned for life?

This movie is worth watching to update your thinking about live animal theme parks.

When Young Orcas are ripped from their moms and pods the wailing and crying continues hopelessly lound and unceasing.  Seaworld even did this with their captivity born Orcas further traumatizing the animals they were charged with better custodial care.  It is a sham, a lie.

It is inhumane and Shameful.  How is this different than Slavery in America? The Assimilation movement of boarding schools for Native American children, also ripped from their families? Yes they aren animals and it still unethical.
