Elizabeth Maciel is assisting with community liason activities and with translation of documents and at the interviews. Ms. Maciel is an educator assistant in a local school district.

Study’s Purpose: The purpose is two-fold: 

1. Identify what parents do and do not know about their LTELL students’ academic and language status

2. Characterize the information resources/social networks that contribute to parents’ possession of reliable as versus unreliable information.
