Jimmy Franco Sr is a long- time educator and community activist who was born in in Texas and grew up in the Lincoln Heights area of Northeast Los Angeles.   
 
Jimmy attended California State University Los Angeles.  Member of M.E.Ch.A. And did his graduate work in history. Jimmy obtained numerous educational credentials and taught in multiple grades, college and in prisons. 
 
Jimmy began writing in 1967 and wrote extensively on the Chicano Moratoriums and against the Vietnam war.
 
The blog is to encourage and promote dialog and discussion on topical issues pertaining to the Chicano/Latino community.
