In the Claude Monet painting “the Garden” the beauty of the vibrant water lilies (in their vast array of colors) dance against the backdrop of the deep dark hues of blues, greens, purples and everything in between.  Looking closer at the beauty of the painting is the brilliance of the colors that are accentuated by the palette of blackness that is consistent throughout.
