HB 2928 proposes to eliminate the use of tear gas by police to control crowds that this summer used commercial grade fireworks, Molotov cocktails, frozen water bottles, sling shots, and blinding lasers against the police. Taking away the middle ground between doing nothing to control a riot or using lethal force. In better news, Lane County is moving to OHA's "moderate Risk" level and restaurants will be allowed 50% seating capacity. Also in good news, the threatened destruction by anarchist in Eugene was called off due to a visible presence of police, thanks EPD!
