The Keep Me Alive Foundation is making preparations for the Annual Community Health Fair, and we would greatly appreciate your organization joining us this year as a vendor. This year’s Health Fair will target those most in need. These will include individuals living below the poverty level, the unemployed and the voiceless. According to DHR 28,000 (24%) of third grade children reportedly were obese in 2008 and 2009. During this same period there was a significant increase in reported cases of obesity amongst Middle School students and High School (Please see enclosed data from DHR). Early detection and prevention is key in making healthy lifestyle changes which aids in saving lives. Accordingly, the Keep Me Alive Foundation is dedicated to improving the health and overall quality of life of its citizens and surrounding communities of the Metro Atlanta area. Screenings will include, but are not limited to, prostate, breast, diabetes, HIV, sickle cell, cholesterol, blood pressure and weight/BMI/body fat testing. An entire section will be dedicated to prevention and educational information for children. Would you like to make a difference? We invite you to participate as a vendor. This is an excellent opportunity for your organization to partner with us as we seek to educate the public and promote preventive health care. If your company is a non-profit organization with a state charter, then booth fee is free however you still must purchase a health shirt for a $12.00 donation and then call and register before December 1, 2010. Space is limited. As a vendor, you must submit a $65.00 Vendor Booth Donation. Vendor’s booth set-up includes: a 6ft table, 2 chairs and t-shirt for health. All Vendor registrations must be turned in by December 8, 2010 unless approved by staff.
