Religiously Incorrect

Good afternoon.  I'm truthfully embarassed about yesterday.  Here as I try to get myself organized, I discovered I had set my alarm on the other computer.  

Let's talk about religion as it is recognized today.  Just what are the components that make up what folks call their beliefs?  Are beliefs just rituals that hold some sort of value in our personna or our position in society?

When people of any religion talk about their faith or their God, how does it affect their life?  How does our own belief or disbelief affect our life, our actions, our attitudes, our interaction?  It used to be people felt their religious beliefs were to be considered personal and a private matter not open to discussion.  Seems now, a different story
