Workerunited.com was established to show the dynamic between unionized members of the worldwide work force and their employers in these uncertain economic times. Labor practices are always in question no matter what the economic state of the country. With workers needs at an all-time high and employers struggling to turn a profit in a tough economic climate, our focus is to tell their stories. Kate Zhao worked in China as a business reporter before she came to the United States in 2006. She covered Silicon Valley for the China Business News, a Shanghai-based newspaper. She is now studying business journalism at the Graduate School of Journalism at the City University of New York. Mark Morales works for WCBS Newsradio 880 as a newsroom desk assistant and video journalist. He is also studying Business journalism at the City University of New York Graduate School of Journalism.
