Karen Hunter, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist talks with former Wall Street professional and current professor of finance, Al Reynolds, about the future of black business/money. Once upon a time there was a Black Wall Street--where black folks had it all. Today blacks have money (we spend more than $750 billion a year as a group), but have little, in the way of wealth and businesses, to show for it. Can we blame integration? Or is there another reason why there are fewer black businesses today than during Jim Crow?
