RR&P: Dream Killers

Have you ever encountered a dream killer? A dream killer is a person who tries to destroy your dreams, your ambition, your hopes, your desires and your vision. They do this by causing fear, doubt and discouragement. These are people who hate to see the advancement of others. They are full of jealously and envy and would do anything to trap, block and hinder your walk. Sadly to say, many of these dream killers are also found in the Church. Not sitting in the pews, but in leadership positions. They fear that someone new, who has a talent, is coming to take their place in ministry. So they defame your character in front of others and say that you are disobedient and rebellious. They even go as far to say that you are possessed by a “Jezebel spirt”. We see a perfect example of this in the book of Genesis 35:5, when Joseph received a dream and told it to his brothers. They became jealous and planned to kill him. We can also see the same thing when Saul disobeyed God’s orders and David was chosen to be king over Israel. Saul sought to kill him. The word of God is clear we must be ready and alert, for the devil’s plan is to destroy the advancement of God in our lives.
