Only second to ancient Babylon was Egypt in idolatry. Her people no matter where they settled, brought with them a corruption of truth, which the established pagan priesthood helped assume a form of consistency and allurement. The worship of the serpent was an important and conspicuous part of her idolatry. The serpent entered into the Egyptian religion under all his characters, of an Emblem of Divinity, a Charm, an Oracle, and as a God. When this serpent worship became intertwined with early Christianity, Gnostic thought and Gnostic texts were born, once again producing a corruption of truth. However, we have the Believer's assurance contained in our Scriptures that we have POWER over all the serpents and their poison. It is this fact that the Serpent and his offspring desire to dilute, confuse, and destroy from true Biblical Christianity. www.kapowradioshow.com
