Apparently the problems with Tokyo’s nuclear power plant are more serious than initially reported. Presently water is being dumped on the reactor in order to keep it cool. The water runoff from this process is a radioactive and is spilling into the ocean. Nevertheless, this process will continue in order to prevent a meltdown. Can this radioactive discharge from the Tokyo nuclear power plant cause harm to the United States, and how vulnerable are the 104 nuclear power plants in our country? We will discuss this important public safety issue on Thursday March 31, 2011.
