You have to have some input in the job search process that gives you a feeling of being in control.  Control leads to successes.  Control is power.  Even when you are told no, you know you sought the opportunity at the place of your choice, on your actions and initiative. You will get the work you want.  You will hear many "NOs". What ever you do, Don't give up. All things balance out if you don't give up.
