He got hired! Why can't you get a job somewhere!
If you do not have the funds to never need to work again, you need to return to work, like yesterday.

Is unemployment good for your image?
Is unemployment good for your career goals?
Will unemployment disrupt your social life?
Is starting from the bottom in a new career scary?
People are starting over every day.
If you need training, ask for it!
If you need job search assistance, ask for it!
If you need other things before you can get back to work, ask for it
