Baptism is one of the most twisted interpretations of scripture today. People seem to believe that immersion or sprinkling of water and a verbal renounciation and acceptance in the name of Christ is all that's needed for salvation with no change behind that action. One definition is as follows: Baptism (from the Greek noun β?πτισμα baptisma; see below) is a Christian sacrament of admission and adoption, almost invariably with the use of water, into Christianity. Christianity means to be a follower of Christ. To be adopted into that requires actions on the part of the one accepting this. We will discuss this today in this episode.
