"Let's kill President Obama's place in history."  Did Paul Ryan really say this today?

As reported in the Tampa Bay Times...."TALLAHASSEE — A Florida Senate committee voted Monday against Medicaid expansion, joining the House in rejecting Gov. Rick Scott's proposal for a three-year trial covered entirely by federal funding"...."State analysts have estimated that Florida could get up to $55 billion in federal funds for the first 10 years while paying out about $3 billion for Medicaid expansion."

I say $55 billion injected into the state's economy would generate more than $3 billion to the State Treasury!  The monetary decision alone is a no brainier?  Let's add the one million Floridians that will now be without health care.  The Representativess that voted for this, or should I say against the disadvantaged people in Florida, are sick!  Hear more tomorrow morning on my radio show, www.itsyourgavel.com.  Will Rick Scott veto this?

Ashley Judd vs. Mitch McConnell?

Ashley Judd, the 44-year-old actress and social activist, has told key advisers and political figures that she is planning to announce her candidacy for the U.S. Senatethis spring.  Judd told one close ally that she plans to announce her run for the Democratic nomination for the 2014 race “around Derby”, meaning in early May when the Kentucky Derby brings national attention to Louisville and the Bluegrass State.
