Sen. Tom Coburn

     Senator Tom Coburn has earned a reputation as being the Senate’s top fiscal watchdog.  He has shown a willingness to stand against excessive government spending that he sees as being fiscally irresponsible, even when the stand brings him into conflict with members of his own party.  He has also put forth comprehensive blueprints for reducing the country's level of debt.
