I am having a FLY Conversation with two subject matter experts on the topic of depression.  Earlier this year I was saddened by the loss of three young women who committed suicide.  They were in the prime of their life and suffering silently from depression.  On this week’s episode learn how to proactively manage depression, spot warning signs, and raise awareness about resources available to help individuals and families.  My special guests are:

Debra Chatman Finley, MA, DVS, LPC, is a therapist in private practice in Somerville, NJ where she provides therapy for individuals, couples, and families.   She is a licensed Professional Counselor and is also a National Board Certified Counselor. She earned her Bachelors degree in Psychology from Seton Hall University and her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the College of Saint Elizabeth.

Ken Dolan-DelVecchio, MSW, LMFT, LCSW, DVS, SPHR, CEAP, is a family therapist, organizational consultant, speaker, and trainer with over 20 years experience in personal, organizational, and community empowerment.  Ken earned his bachelor’s degree in biopsychology at Cornell University and his master's degree in social work at Hunter College of the City University of New York.  He is the author of three books:

  • Making Love, Playing Power: Men, Women, & the Rewards of Intimate Justice
  • Transformative Family Therapy: Just Families in a Just Society, an advanced level family therapy textbook
  • The Pet Loss Companion: Healing Advice from Family Therapists Who Lead Pet Loss Groups

Call the show to ask questions and get advice from Debra and Ken.  Invite family and friends.
