During this program, Dr. Barbara Sinor and host Catherine VanWetter will discuss Dr. Sinor's soon to be released book, Tales of Addiction and Inspiration for Recovery.

Dr. Sinor maintained a private counseling practice for over thirty years and is now semi-retired to continue her writing. She counsels individuals and facilitates groups exploring the healing and recovery of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), childhood abuse/incest, adults of alcoholics, and consults for substance abuse/addiction recovery centers.

Dr. Sinor’s revealing research for her Doctoral Dissertation argued the relevance of psychospiritual counseling in the recovery process of adult females abused in childhood.

Dr. Sinor is co-author of Beyond Words: A Lexicon of Metaphysical Thought. Her second book Gifts From The Child Within is the culmination of clinical research in the areas of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and adult survivors of childhood abuse/incest. Dr. Sinor’s third book is An Inspirational Guide for the Recovering Soul. This book is a companion guidebook for further growth and understanding of the personal healing and recovery process which can be used by anyone dealing with past or present trauma.

Barbara coauthored Addiction: What’s Really Going On? Inside a Heroin Treatment Program, and her fifth book Tales of Addiction and Inspiration for Recovery to be released in 2010 documents stories from those who have been or are addicted to drugs and/or alcohol, or those whose life has been affected by substance addiction through friends and family.
