Debra Shigley is a journalist, workplace expert, and author of the book The Go-Getter Girl's Guide: Get What You Want in Work and Life (and Look Great While You're at It). She earned her undergraduate degree at Harvard, and her law degree, cum laude, at Georgia State. She began her media career at CNN, and then worked full-time as an editor for Atlanta magazine while she completed her law degree at night. Most recently she was an employment law associate at a top firm. Her work has appeared in numerous publications including Allure, Fast Company, Budget Travel, Daily Candy, Go! the Airtran magazine, Neiman Marcus thebook, and Heart & Soul. She has been featured as a career/lifestyle expert on The Today Show, The View, CNN, ABC News, TBS Movie & A Makeover, and in The Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Redbook, People StyleWatch and many more. She lives in Atlanta with her husband.
