In this episode we talk with Gloria Maynard about the unsolved murder of her then 20-year-old daughter Lisa Gondek. Lisa had moved out of the family home in Connecticut and in 1981 was living in Oxnard, California with a friend. On December 12 she was found strangled to death in the bathtub of her apartment. Her body had been posed erotically and the apartment had been set on fire.

Twenty years later DNA testing led to a chilling development: Twenty-year-old Rachel Zendejas, who had been found raped and strangled to death in nearby Camarillo, California on January 18, 1981, and Lisa had been murdered by the same person.

The only other link between the two murders was that Both Lisa and Rachel had been in a Huntington’s night club within hours of their deaths and their killer remains at large.
