Alveraz Ricardez started acting professionally in 2017, and experienced immediate success, appearing on hit television shows such as HBO's Silicon Valley (2018), ABC's Grey's Anatomy (2018), Netflix's Grace & Frankie (2019), and NBC's Marlon (2018), and continues his remarkable ascent in television, film, and commercial work in Hollywood. Alveraz was born in the San Francisco bay area, raised in San Diego, and now lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two children. Alveraz studied literature and film at UCLA, and spends his days off enjoying the outdoors with his family, in Lake Arrowhead, California.

Claims a "spiritual awakening" transformed his life in 2016, leading him to pursue a sober and healthy lifestyle.

Was diagnosed with stage two thyroid cancer in 2013. Underwent a total thyroidectomy, and as of 2018, is in full remission.

In the final weeks before completing his undergrad at UCLA with a degree in literature, and on his way to law school, he dropped out to pursue acting.

Has never taken a full-time acting class. Prefers private coaching when necessary.

Signed with ICM as a screenwriter in 2005, but switched to acting in 2017.
