Call to remembrance

We had not in our previous sessionsdealt with the exhortation given in Hebrews 12: 5, but it is necessary to do so even at this stage. Let’s look at it carefully and take in the warning, “and you have forgotten the exhortation which is addressed to you as sons,

“MY SON, DO NOT REGARD LIGHTLY THE DISCIPLINE OF THE LORD,
NOR FAINT WHEN YOU ARE REPROVED BY HIM;” Let’s break this exhortation down a bit to get a fuller meaning. “You have forgotten” resounds consistently through generations to a people of God that have lost sight of who they are or more accurately to whom they belong. So it is in this current time this question is being posed ‘have you forgotten the message given to you’ the non-distorted message, and with that question comes a reply many believers seem to be asking today, ‘what message?’
